An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Safeguarding Business Support Team for an experienced Administrative Assistant. **This post is a temporary position to cover maternity.**
As part of the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Service, you will provide administrative support to Independent Chairs and Independent Reviewing Officers. You will coordinate the delivery and review of Child Protection Conferences and support the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) who is responsible for managing allegations against professionals working with children. You will minute Child Protection Conferences and produce summary reports for professionals.

We are therefore seeking applicants with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, who have a friendly, patient and confident approach with colleagues, other professionals and members of the public, to join our supportive and professional team.
You will be able to evidence that you have excellent IT skills and have the ability to quickly learn and navigate software and systems. We are looking for someone who is organised, who can take accurate notes at meetings and who is able to prioritise and manage competing demands.
In addition to all these competencies, it is essential for you to be flexible in your approach to meet the requirements of a busy team. You will have an informed and professional manner when dealing with customers and clients, and process confidential and sensitive information in line with corporate and national guidelines.

Higher level IT skills are required for the post and as such there will be an note-taking test as part of the interview.
Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away.
