HR Advisor - Maternity Cover

Our client, a leading construction and structural steel company operating throughout the UK and Europe, is seeking a HR Advisor on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave, based in Barnsley, to join their team for up to 15 months. This is a fully office-based position, with occasional travel to other sites, so access to your own vehicle is essential. A salary of between £35,000 - £45,000 is offered depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Working with fellow HR team members to develop and provide training sessions to line managers on key HR topics such as absence management, performance management, and handling disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Monitoring and analyzing employee trends and metrics, providing insights and recommendations, and producing HR KPIs and monthly management reports.
  • Managing recruitment campaigns, including sourcing suitable candidates and coordinating interviews.
  • Managing company benefit schemes and supporting key HR projects as required.
  • A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle for occasional travel.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an equivalent HR role.
  • IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to handle data confidentiality.
  • A self-motivated and flexible approach to work.
