Global Wealth Management Consultant

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both remote and office-based work.

The FCA's Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR) is applicable to Aon, ensuring accountability across all roles within the Financial Services Sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Focus on statutory and voluntary global defined contribution (DC) and defined benefit (DB) retirement and benefits plan design, pension accounting, financing, investment strategies, and ongoing governance, including retirement and benefits considerations in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Primarily driven by expanding business with existing clients and acquiring new clients.
  • Utilize advanced analytical and communication skills to assist multinational corporations in managing their retirement plans on a global scale, encompassing strategy, governance, design, and financing.
  • Oversee global retirement and benefits client relationships for multiple significant clients.
  • Manage client relationships, teams, and assignments with a focus on oversight, review, and quality assurance.
  • Effectively communicate in various client scenarios, including engagements with Boards of Directors, C-Suite executives, and Global HR and Finance leaders.
  • Lead initiatives for new business development.
  • Manage a substantial portion of the client portfolio.
  • Stay informed about market trends and recognize their implications for clients.
  • Understand the full spectrum of business lines, their offerings, and integration points.
  • Cultivate relationships within Aon across Human Capital solution lines, including domestic Wealth and Health, to deliver a cohesive approach to clients and drive growth.
  • Capable of leading teams or thought leadership initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and policies, including participation in risk management activities.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Over 20 years of relevant professional experience.
  • More than 15 years of experience post-qualification.
  • Fellowship from the Institute of Actuaries is advantageous.
  • Diploma in International Employee Benefits is a plus.
  • Familiarity with non-retirement global benefits is beneficial.
  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in an international retirement/benefits team within a global consulting firm at a senior level, or in-house experience with a multinational corporation responsible for regional or global retirement and benefits plan design and delivery.
  • Experience working in both UK and international contexts is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record in selling and delivering international retirement services to multinational corporations and managing complex global relationships.
  • Strong general knowledge of employer-sponsored DC and DB retirement and benefit plans worldwide, including design, operation, pension accounting, financing, and tax implications.
