Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the response to medical and psychiatric emergencies on the hospital site.
- Deploy staff in urgent/emergency situations to achieve safe staffing levels within available resources.
- Ensure the requirements of the Mental Health Act 2007 and other statutory regulations are observed and implemented.
- Ensure that all staff comply with Trust policies and ensure that Risk Management and Health & Safety requirements are implemented.
- Be conversant with the Major Incident and Fire Evacuation Procedures.
- Relevant professional mental health qualification to degree or diploma level.
- Understanding of individuals with complex needs.
- Ability to manage/supervise other staff.
- Knowledge of up-to-date legislation, national and local policies relating to the Section 136 Police holding powers.
