Job Description

**About the Role**

Career Legal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Assistant to join our busy HR team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and programmatic support for various diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across our London and global offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for internal and external diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, including event planning, logistics, and communication.
  • Organize and attend office committee, working group, and DEI council meetings as necessary, preparing agendas and summaries for circulation.
  • Administer the logistics for internal workshops, training programs, and meetings, including drafting invitations, office communications, room bookings, catering, audio-visual reservations, marketing, and promotion of offerings.
  • Support the Senior DEI Coordinator in completing diversity-related statistical and qualitative information for firm-wide reports, RFPs, committee meetings, and other requests as needed, liaising with the human resources department on necessary data and historical materials.
  • Assist the Senior DEI Coordinator with data collection for external benchmarks, accreditations, award submissions, and indices, such as the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, the Social Mobility Foundation index, and the Disability Confident Employer scheme.
  • Conduct research for projects and programming, staying up-to-date on trends and activity within the legal market relating to DEI and reporting back to the Senior DEI Coordinator.
  • Support with ad-hoc requests and project work.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in D&I/HR/Recruitment, ideally in a law firm or similar corporate environment.
  • A genuine interest in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, along with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Conscientious and personable with a proactive attitude.
  • Confident, professional, and driven.
