Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Team Lead. The successful candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation and management, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

About the Role

The Team Lead will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality occupational therapy service, working closely with the Inpatient Services Manager and the Occupational Therapy Professional Lead. The role involves managing a team of junior colleagues, promoting patient independence and discharge, and driving rehabilitation on the wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of occupational therapists to deliver a high-quality service
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation plans for patients with complex needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development of occupational therapy services and policies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy, with HCPC registration
  • Relevant postgraduate experience in rehabilitation and management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of national policies and guidelines relevant to occupational therapy
