Leigh Academies Trust is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Facilities Assistant to become a vital part of our supportive team. This role will play a crucial part in assisting the broader Estates Team with the upkeep of the academy facilities, which includes various maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, refurbishment projects, and porterage duties. The Facilities Assistant will also support the Facilities Manager in maintaining the health, safety, and security standards of a dynamic educational environment.

Candidates should demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Physical fitness, conscientiousness, and a flexible approach to work are essential. Ideally, applicants will possess basic DIY skills, an understanding of Health & Safety protocols, and foundational IT competencies. This is a permanent position, and the ideal candidate will be available for full-time work. The academy operates from 7 AM to 7 PM, and the selected applicant will be expected to work within these hours, totaling 8 hours from Monday to Thursday and 7.5 hours on Fridays. The annual salary for this role is £22,714, accompanied by 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
