Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Field Engineer to lead and manage our tree cutting electrical provision team within our operational area with UK Power Networks in EPN. As the lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering their own tree cutting related power outages, as well as being the lead on all other tree cutting outages carried out by a small team of Subcontract SAPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficient and comprehensive planning and delivery of all individual as well as team assigned tree cutting power outages.
  • Support and drive the delivery of the overall tree cutting power outage programme.
  • Lead and manage the electrical provision team to ensure that all programmes of work are delivered to time and budget and in line with contractual commitments to time, cost and quality.
  • Assist in the management of budgets relating to the electrical provision.
  • Be a Senior Authorised Person with Field Control as defined by the UK Power Networks Distribution Safety Rules.

Requirements:

  • Educated to HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • A broad understanding of UK Power Networks electrical shutdown provision processes, rules and regulations.
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
