About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Editor to join our Conversational Shopping team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our AI-assisted shopping experience in Japanese.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-visibility project that requires collaboration and influence across global product, design, science, and engineering teams. You will be working closely with product, science, and engineering stakeholders to prioritize and complete projects within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Content Creation and Editing: Write, edit, and annotate short-form content that will be used to evaluate and train our AI models.
  2. Style Guidelines: Define, align, and guide stakeholders in implementing style guidelines for Generative AI shopping experiences.
  3. Quality Assurance: Uphold response quality using customer feedback to continually drive improvements across team processes.
  4. Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyze root causes, identify error patterns, and propose solutions to enhance the quality of evaluation and annotation tasks.
  5. Prompt Engineering: Create and use frameworks for Prompt Generation and Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) to improve the fluency of our AI models.
Requirements
  1. Strong Editing and Writing Skills: Strong experience in editing, PR, marketing, communications, copywriting, journalism, UX/CX product or program management.
  2. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, communications, or comparable fields.
  3. Bilingual Fluency: Bilingual fluency in English and Japanese.
  4. Exceptional Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  5. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail while managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Generative AI Experience: Experience working in Generative AI editorial, content management, prompt engineering, tutoring, and/or annotation.
  2. Team Management: Experience in team management.
  3. Global Collaboration: Experience working with global and cross-functional teams to drive product improvements.
  4. Documentation: Experience documenting learnings, strategies, and proposals to present to leadership and stakeholders teams.
