Cybersecurity Analyst

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Security Analyst within our organization. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working from home while also engaging with our team in the office. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding the implementation and operation of essential physical, procedural, and technical security measures.
As a Security Analyst, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £65,400 along with a bonus structure, a flexible working environment, and comprehensive benefits including Income Protection and Life Insurance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with information security, data retention, and cybersecurity policies across all systems and services, including documenting evidence of adherence and identifying any gaps.
- Assist in compliance assessments and evaluate security configurations and procedures to meet legal and regulatory standards.
- Identify potential threats to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems. Perform risk assessments and recommend actions to management, including organizing penetration tests and addressing findings.
- Coordinate investigations into suspected security breaches and manage incident resolution according to established protocols, utilizing forensic methods as necessary. Document findings and recommend improvements.
- Provide guidance on the application and operation of fundamental security controls, as outlined in relevant standards.
- Contribute to the security architecture of systems.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Team and other stakeholders, supporting project teams in the deployment of new systems and services.
- Lead the preparation of Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) documents for review.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant academic or professional qualifications in IT or Cybersecurity.
- Experience in managing risks associated with data use, storage, and transmission.
- Proven ability to implement security controls and management strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Familiarity with legislation, risk management, and IT auditing.
