About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and supportive Housing Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at Anchor Hanover. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping older people to live independently in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote social activities on the estate and encourage the wider community to use any facilities provided.
  • Conduct administration-based tasks using systems like Excel, Word, and in-house systems.
  • Work in collaboration with the on-site care team to ensure the wellbeing of residents.
  • Provide residents with practical support to ensure they are maximizing all welfare benefits.
  • Work with external agencies and other bodies to ensure that residents receive the support and advice they require.
  • Make daily contact with all residents, either personally or through the emergency call system.
  • Organize and lead social activities on the estate to ensure all residents are enabled to take part.
About You

We are looking for someone with strong organization and administration skills, a supportive nature, and excellent communication skills. You will be highly organized and comfortable planning your own work, familiar with the needs of older people, and have previous experience in a similar administrative role.

You will be competent with IT systems, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and in-house systems. We need people who share our values, are friendly, customer-focused, calm, and have the ability to work with a wide range of people.
