The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Dementia Assessment Unit, providing specialist inpatient assessment and treatment for individuals with dementia.
We are looking for a registered nurse with a passion for dementia care, development of services and systems, and knowledge of supervision and audit processes.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the leadership style required to be part of a ward leadership team to support the Ward Manager in delivering a high-quality mental health service.
Main Duties of the Job- Lead the Dementia Assessment Unit, providing specialist inpatient assessment and treatment for individuals with dementia.
- Develop and implement effective services and systems to support individuals with dementia and their families.
- Collaborate with the Ward Manager to deliver a high-quality mental health service.
- Supervise and support staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Conduct audits and evaluations to ensure the quality of care provided.
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health, and all-age disability care.

Person Specification- NMC Registered Nurse RMN or RNLD
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- High level of clinical expertise
- Understanding and appreciation of national policy and health/social care issues
- Clear understanding of social inclusion/equality/diversity
- Knowledge of cultural diversity within the healthcare setting
- Awareness of current mental health issues, debates, and practice
- Knowledge and understanding of physical health needs
- A willingness to undertake further training
- Working with service users with severe mental health problems utilising user/carer involvement
- Ability to assess and manage risk and prioritise response accordingly
