Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer to join our team at SearchBourne Consulting. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software systems using Java and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality Java software applications using Java 8 and later versions
  • Implement and integrate Java-based APIs, Web Services, and microservices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using JUnit, Selenium, and other tools
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using tools like Splunk, Swagger, and Postman
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Java and related technology trends and advancements

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on Java 8 and later versions
  • Expert-level knowledge of Java, J2EE, Web Services, and API Gateway Integration
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and JPA
  • Strong understanding of concurrency, threading, and collections in Java
  • Experience with Web application technologies like JavaScript, React, and AngularJS
  • Knowledge of API and Contract Testing using REST Assured, Postman, Swagger, and SOAP UI
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Unit Testing using JUnit and XCTest
  • Strong understanding of mocking frameworks like API Service Virtualization, Mockito, and OCMock
  • Experience with Static Code Analysis using SonarQube and Xcode Static Analyzer
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, PCF, or similar tools for automated provisioning of build and test infrastructure
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proven experience in SDLC and implementation of projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Maven, JUnit, Redis, Oracle database, SQL, Unix command shell scripting, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX
  • Knowledge of Web/Application servers like JBoss, Apache Tomcat
  • Experience with tools like Sonar, Dynatrace, GIT, SVN, Rally, Jira CI (Jenkins/Bamboo), and CDSplunk
