The Role

We are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join our schools in Tooting. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals in partner schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored lessons for students with SEND.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of teachers, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, helping them to build positive relationships and develop essential life skills.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment, ensuring that all students feel safe and supported.
  • Prepare and organise learning materials and resources, ensuring that each student has access to the tools they need to succeed.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers and providing valuable insights into each student's development.
  • Support students during school activities, outings, and events, helping them to develop essential life skills and build positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support student needs, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for individuals with experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting. A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Teaching Assistant or Early Years is also required.
