About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join our Renewables Financial Control team in Perth/Glasgow. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the team with financial control activities, including month-end journal postings, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and involvement in the half-year and year-end audit.

You will be responsible for analysing and interpreting financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to the Onshore Wind Finance Manager. Your strong IT skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications will be essential in this role.

We are looking for someone with relevant accounting experience, gained in a similar role, and ideally with started professional exams. You must have a strong attention to detail and be able to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist with month-end journal postings and explain variances.
  2. Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  3. Be involved in the half-year and year-end audit, including subsidiary companies and liaising with external auditors.

Requirements

  1. Relevant accounting experience, gained in a similar role.
  2. Strong IT skills using Microsoft Office applications.
  3. Strong financial systems experience (Oracle desirable).
