About the Role
The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Cardiology Clinic Coordinator. This role will be responsible for ensuring the effective day-to-day administration and coordination of clerical procedures concerning out-patient clinics in the Cardiology Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of patient records and correspondence.
- Prepare and manage patient lists, including identifying missing notes and requesting foreign notes as needed.
- Liaise with wards and medical secretaries to coordinate changes to appointments and clinic schedules.
- Provide a reception service to patients, utilizing the HISS system to document their arrival and outcome.
- Ensure accurate patient demographic information is recorded and updated in both hospital notes and the HISS system.
- Complete HRG sheets with correct procedure codes and manage diagnostic test request forms.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data recorded on paper and electronic systems.
- Manage case note tracking and ensure its completion and accuracy.
Requirements
- GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an administrative role with patient/customer care as a job requirement.
- Keyboard skills and proficiency in using computerized information systems.
- Able to solve problems, take preventative actions, and refer to others when necessary.
- Sound organizational skills, able to work under pressure, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Able to use own initiative, pay attention to detail, and consistently produce accurate work.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to and understanding of the importance of treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
- Effective team worker with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to deal with situations with tact and diplomacy, and ensure professional behavior and integrity at all times.
