International Casualty Pricing Specialist

In this position, you will assist the Head of Pricing for International Casualty and collaborate with underwriters across the UK, Europe, and APAC in various facets of casualty pricing. The International Casualty division generates substantial written premium globally, providing numerous opportunities to engage in diverse aspects of this business unit. You will interact with both Underwriting and Actuarial leadership teams through individual account pricing, quarterly business reviews, and annual strategic planning.

YOUR ROLE INCLUDES:

  • Ensuring AXA XL maintains its leadership in technical pricing and portfolio management.
  • Supporting the Head of Pricing in enhancing the Pricing perspective of loss ratios for the portfolio.
  • Engaging with Actuarial and Underwriting leadership on Reserving and Capital modeling.
  • Promoting consistency in pricing and portfolio analysis throughout International Casualty.
  • Ensuring the efficiency of pricing processes, adherence to pricing guidelines, and completion of core tasks such as planning and core pricing metrics.
  • Providing training to underwriters on pricing matters and assisting with pricing accounts, including portfolio transactions.
  • Crafting results and metrics narratives to support Finance Business Partners and Reserving.
  • Collecting local underwriting data and addressing analytics needs and challenges.
  • Utilizing other AXA XL capabilities, including Risk Consulting, Strategic Analytics, and Enterprise Business Data Solutions.
  • Collaborating with the broader casualty team to accomplish tasks and aid in the development of junior team members.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive experience in non-life insurance pricing.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.
  • Leadership qualities to work collaboratively with colleagues and build consensus.
  • Robust analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external clients.
  • Outstanding written communication abilities.
  • Strategic thinking aptitude.
