International Casualty Pricing Specialist

In this position, you will provide essential support to the Head of Pricing for International Casualty and collaborate with underwriters across the UK, Europe, and APAC in various facets of casualty pricing. The International Casualty division generates significant written premium globally, offering numerous opportunities to engage in diverse aspects of this business unit. You will interact with both Underwriting and Actuarial leadership teams through individual account pricing, quarterly business reviews, and annual strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure AXA XL maintains its status as a leader in technical pricing and portfolio management.
  • Assist the Head of Pricing in enhancing the pricing perspective of loss ratios for the portfolio.
  • Challenge assumptions from Actuarial and Underwriting leadership, as well as Reserving and Capital modeling.
  • Promote consistency in pricing and portfolio analysis across the International Casualty sector.
  • Guarantee the efficiency of pricing processes, adherence to pricing guidelines, and execution of core tasks such as planning and core pricing metrics.
  • Provide training to underwriters on pricing issues and support pricing accounts, including portfolio arrangements.
  • Develop narratives around results and metrics to support Finance Business Partners and Reserving.
  • Collect local underwriting data and identify analytics needs and challenges.
  • Utilize additional AXA XL resources, including Risk Consulting, Strategic Analytics, and Enterprise Business Data Solutions.
  • Collaborate with the broader casualty team to accomplish tasks and aid in the development of junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in non-life insurance pricing.
