As a Lead Oncology Nurse, you will:

Qualifications and Skills Required

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse with substantial post-registration experience in SACT administration.
  • Proficient in venepuncture, cannulation, and the use of central venous access devices, with documented competency.
  • Certified in the safe handling and administration of SACT, with evidence of ongoing competency assessments.
  • Completion of a Teaching & Assessing course (ENB 998 or equivalent).
  • Engaged in or completed a recognized course in advanced communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience managing complex patients in a nurse-led environment.

Knowledge and Technical Skills

Essential:

  • Demonstrated competence across a variety of nursing skills, supported by clinical knowledge.
  • Fulfillment of mandatory training requirements, including infection control and health and safety.
  • Ability to participate in audit processes.

Desirable:

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software applications.
