About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team at The Calico Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive business planning and treasury accounting service for the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and advise on the Group's Treasury Strategy and Policy.
  • Ensure compliance with key regulatory requirements across the Group.
  • Develop and prepare the Group's long-term business plan and ensure appropriate resources are in place to achieve the delivery of their strategic objectives.
  • Manage the Calico Group's Treasury Strategy, ensuring that the business plan is adequately funded, reviewed, and approved by the Board on an annual basis.
  • Review the 30-year business plans against actual performance.
  • Prepare Calico's approach to stress testing and work with the business to develop and review appropriate mitigations.
  • Manage the day-to-day banking arrangements and provide analysis of financial information to support regulatory returns.
  • Support the preparation of the Group's statutory accounts and write Board reports.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant with a working knowledge of the challenges facing the charities and housing sector, including the regulatory frameworks the Group works within.
  • Experience of treasury management processes and financial planning, including modeling and stress testing.
  • Substantial accountancy experience covering statutory accounts, financial accounts, cash flow, and credit control/debt management.
  • Experience of BRIXX business planning software (desirable).
