The Role:

As an Assistant Retail Manager at Majestic, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager to drive sales performance and ensure the smooth operation of the store. Your focus will be on delivering an outstanding customer experience while maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and driving store performance.
  • Enhance sales by identifying opportunities and optimizing key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
  • Engage customers with a personalized service, keeping them informed about new products and events.
  • Share your enthusiasm for our products through in-depth knowledge and engaging tasting events.
  • Support the recruitment and development of team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Encourage junior staff to enhance their product knowledge and pursue WSET qualifications.
  • Maintain the store's appearance and report any issues promptly.
  • Continuously seek improvements to optimize store operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and complete mandatory training.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Experience in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Understanding of retail KPIs and strategies for improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • WSET Level 2 qualification is essential; willingness to pursue Level 3 is preferred.
  • Valid UK/EU/EEA driving license with a clean record.
