We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Theatre Nurse/Trainee Advanced Surgical Practitioner. This role will provide support to the Orthopaedic Surgery team at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital and will also be required to work trust-wide when needed.
Main Duties- Deliver high-quality care and support to patients throughout the peri-operative phase, advocating on their behalf.
- Provide safe and efficient care to patients in the operating theatre, ensuring adherence to theatre standards and protocols.
- Work collaboratively with theatre teams to ensure safe patient positioning, maintain skin integrity, and deliver high standards of surgical assistant support.
- Ensure the safe and high-quality preparation and monitoring of the environment, including operating tables and specialist equipment.
- Report incidents and escalate concerns through appropriate processes.
- Supervise junior colleagues, unregistered staff, and students.
