Attendance Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Attendance Administrator to join our team at Bradford College.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of attendance and punctuality, utilizing systems to improve baseline figures and collaborating with school attendance administrators to report, record, and improve attendance of children accessing our provision.
This is a term-time role, working 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Welfare: Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
- Attendance Administration: Be responsible for the administration and reporting of students late/absent to college, recording lateness and absence data on the school MIS system, and reporting daily to the home school.
- Register Management: Check that electronic registers have been entered and follow up on missing registers with individual members of staff.
- Attendance Monitoring: Check student absence and follow up using agreed systems, check on children at risk of truanting, and initiate and carry out periodic truancy checks.
- Communication: Be available to staff and parents for meetings about individual students, and provide regular updates and data as requested, including home visits.
- Collaboration: Liaise with key staff and other support services to improve attendance rates.
- Training and Development: Work with new staff to ensure that school systems of registration are adhered to and participate in the development and implementation of school reward systems in relation to attendance.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that registration systems are developed and correctly administered and report on the quality of the registers.
- Feeder School Liaison: Make contact with feeder schools during the referral period and gain any relevant information about student attendance.
- Data Analysis: Produce and interpret statistical data relating to attendance patterns of groups within the provision (for parents' evening, performance management reviews, etc).
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of attendance and punctuality policies and procedures.
