Key Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility will be to take ownership of and ensure effective management of commercial contracts across the organization, providing expert advice and support throughout Rullion Limited.

You will also oversee and cultivate commercial relationships with key suppliers, ensuring that contractual obligations are met and aligned with budgetary constraints while minimizing risks and maximizing value.

This position requires collaboration with strategic partners to ensure that mutual interests are upheld and contractual commitments are fulfilled.

Flexibility, responsiveness, and adaptability are essential traits for success in this dynamic industry.

As a proactive communicator and enthusiastic team player, you will need to prioritize tasks effectively to meet the demands of your stakeholders.

As part of the supply chain team, you will ensure that all critical documentation is accurate and up-to-date, and that our suppliers meet their contractual obligations.

Your daily activities will encompass a variety of tasks related to commercial relationships and contract execution, including verifying compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead Stakeholder for Subcontracts: Manage and oversee all project and program subcontracts with industry partners.
  • Support for Contract Project Managers: Assist a team of Contract Project Managers managing contracts valued at approximately £40 million.
  • Development of Commercial Registers: Create and maintain commercial registers to support broader project reporting, including updates on progress, financial monitoring, and contractual issues.
  • Ownership of Financial Models: Establish and maintain robust financial models for contracts.

Collaboration with Project Controls:

Work closely with Project Controls to ensure efficient management of financial information within the Project Management Team.


  • Provide commercial guidance and interpretation to the Project Management Team and Contract Project Managers.
  • Lead change control processes across Work Packages and contracts, ensuring proper administration and adherence to timelines.
  • Manage Project Work Order Numbers in alignment with the Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Act as a liaison between project teams and corporate functions, including Commercial, Legal, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
  • Oversee the assessment of payment applications and invoice verification, providing recommendations for Project Manager assessments.

Supplier Performance Management:

Monitor and report on supplier performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other relevant metrics.


  • Conduct supplier audits and provide regular performance feedback.

Risk Management:

Participate in monthly project and risk reviews, ensuring accurate risk valuations are captured within the project financial model.


  • Ensure a smooth transition during contract award processes, maintaining continuity of contractual obligations.

Budget Oversight:
  • Support the management of procurement costs within established budgets.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Extensive experience in managing capital equipment and engineering contracts.
  • Proficient in NEC3 and NEC4 contract forms.
  • Experience working with commercial, legal, and procurement teams.
  • Proven track record in managing supplier subcontracts exceeding £10 million.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • MCIPS qualification.
  • Contract management certification.
  • Familiarity with contract management tools (e.g., CEMAR).

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Support training programs as required.
