Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist to join our team in the Thames Valley Integrated Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and contribute to the development of our service.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological input to the Milton Keynes Probation Office and the Approved Premises, Great Holm. This will involve working closely with Offender Managers/Probation Practitioners, Approved Premises staff, and other professionals to identify and address the needs of individuals on probation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing psychological consultations to Offender Managers/Probation Practitioners and other professionals
  • Working with the Enhanced Intensive Intervention and Risk Management Service (E-IIRMS) to identify individuals on probation who are eligible for direct psychosocial interventions and psychological therapy
  • Developing and delivering training and reflective practice for Probation teams and Approved Premises staff
  • Supervising other psychologists working within the geographical area
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Doctoral Level postgraduate professional training course in applied psychology, be a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and have experience of working with a wide variety of client groups. They will also have skills in the formulation of areas of need from a psychological perspective and in the implementation of psychological interventions.
