Overview

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated Forensic Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of individuals facing significant challenges while advancing your professional journey.

This position is integral to a pioneering initiative that employs Trauma-Informed Care and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) for women with complex needs. You will play a crucial role in evaluating the impact of CFT within a female forensic environment, with the potential to expand this model to other necessary contexts.

As a registered Practitioner Psychologist, you will be part of a supportive network of experienced professionals within our established female forensic service, which includes both medium and low secure care settings.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload, conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions.
  • Provide expert clinical guidance, assessing care requirements and developing tailored care plans.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary meetings to enhance clinical care and support service user progress.
  • Lead risk assessment and management strategies for individual patients, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Facilitate reflective practice and debriefing sessions for clinical teams.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including trainees and assistant psychologists.
  • Uphold the highest standards of clinical governance and ethical practice.

Qualifications:

  • HCPC registration and BPS recognized psychology degrees.
  • Chartered Psychologist status with relevant postgraduate qualifications.
  • Experience in supervising within BPS guidelines.
  • Proven ability to apply psychological principles in forensic or clinical settings.
  • Experience working with clients with cognitive challenges.
  • Background in research and project management.
