Duty Manager/Shift Supervisor

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at M&S, Brighton Station. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of colleagues to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
- Take charge of creating a clean, welcoming atmosphere that surpasses customer expectations, consistently aiming to improve service.
- Guide and support colleagues, maintaining a safe working and dining environment, and being the go-to person for day-to-day queries.
- Focus on operational efficiency, staying informed about unit performance, championing improvements, and simplifying operations.
- Recognize and celebrate exceptional service within the team, leading by example, promoting inclusivity, and motivation.
- Build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and make thoughtful decisions, ensuring the team's success and delivering excellence in customer service.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working as a supervisor in hospitality or retail role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
