Assistant Facilities Manager

As an Assistant Building Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Facilities Management team in delivering exceptional services to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to provide day-to-day support for our facilities, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support for the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and East Lothian community Hospital, handling enquiries from clients, customers, and staff.
- Ensure an equal split between projects and be prepared to travel to meet business requirements.
- Oversee the provision of services by sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular reviews of sub-contractors to ensure they meet current legislation, regulations, and company standards.
- Monitor the reporting of events and tasks raised to the Help Desk and follow through to completion.
- Ensure all actions identified from subcontractor's service / insurance reports are actioned.
- Provide cover for REH & ELCH Site rota Engineers during periods of sickness and holidays as directed by the GTFM Line Manager.
- Assist in the training of new employees and cover for the Facilities Manager/Contract Manager during periods of sickness and holidays.
- Support the Facilities Manager in all aspects of the project, including producing reports, life cycle planning, and onboarding new suppliers/subcontractors.
- Some commercial experience would be advantageous.
- Confident on Microsoft packages.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service, passionate, committed, and enthusiastic in all aspects of the role.
