Acute Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist Position

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Acute Paediatric team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to children with complex communication and swallowing difficulties.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families. You will be working closely with a team of experienced Speech and Language Therapists, as well as other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with complex communication and swallowing difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of our patients
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Experience working with children with complex communication and swallowing difficulties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
