Senior Planner Opportunity at the Town of Holly Springs

The Town of Holly Springs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our Development Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our community through innovative and collaborative planning efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead comprehensive plans, small area plans, corridor plans, and special projects related to land use, urban design, historic preservation, affordable housing, and sustainable development.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary partners on long-range planning projects, including transportation planning, parks and recreation planning, and utility planning.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, community outreach events, and public hearings to ensure community engagement and participation.
  • Implement the Comprehensive Plan through policy updates and the review of annexation and rezoning petitions.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Town Council's strategic plan initiatives for the Development Services Department.
  • Maintain demographic statistical data, analyses, reports, and graphics.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide direction to direct report team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in urban or regional planning, urban design, landscape architecture, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and/or skills in urban design, land use, community development, and/or economic development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage or facilitate complex projects relating to land use and development programs.
