Position Overview

An excellent opportunity is available for a dedicated and proactive Band 3 Nutritional Care Assistant to become part of our Integrated Nutrition and Dietetic service at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. This role is situated within our community team.

Key Responsibilities

The primary focus of this position is to deliver exceptional dietetic support to community patients in need of nutritional assistance. The role includes:

  • Collaborating with Dietitians to implement care plans for patient follow-ups.
  • Participating in group educational sessions under the guidance of qualified professionals.
  • Assisting in the distribution of dietary products to patients in their residences.
  • Providing support to patients in selecting appropriate food and beverages in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  • Managing the ordering of supplies and consumables for the service.

Professional Development

As a Nutritional Care Assistant, you will be expected to complete the Care Certificate program. We promote continuous professional growth through regular supervision, performance reviews, mandatory training, and ongoing professional development activities.
