About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Team Leader to join our team at Turning Point. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for forming and shaping a team, alongside the day-to-day management of the service.

Service Overview

Our residential service provides intensive support for individuals with enduring mental health needs, who are in crisis. The service consists of 5 rooms and provides up to 5 days of support for individuals who are in need of a therapeutic alternative to hospital admission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the service alongside the Service Manager
  • Provide line management to a team of Recovery Workers/Peer Support Workers
  • Enable the service to meet and exceed outcomes and quality requirements that promote independence and recovery for the individuals we support
  • Have some oversight of referrals to the service
  • Work closely within our multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for individuals we support

Requirements

  • Previous relevant experience of using a person-centred approach in a Mental Health setting
  • Good understanding of the complex needs of individuals we support
  • Experience of working with people with mental health crisis
  • Capable of prioritising your own workload and using your initiative
  • Effective team player with good communication skills
  • Flexible recovery-focused approach, positive attitude, and ability to adapt in a changeable environment
