We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Haines Watts (East Midlands) Limited. As an Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in providing support to our clients and contributing to the success of our accounting firm.
Key Responsibilities- Produce high-quality accounts working files and draft accounts for clients.
- Clear arising queries with clients and provide a list of discussion points for senior managers or partners.
- Work within agreed budgets and deadlines.
- Produce draft tax computations and provide statutory disclosures in line with company checklists.
- Plan and control professional work for clients within firm standards and identify basic planning opportunities.
- Develop and maintain technical and personal development skills through training and seminars.
- Represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals.
- Previous experience as an Accounts Senior within an accounting firm.
- Knowledge of Iris and Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent Excel skills and experience of using cloud-based accountancy software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
