About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Contract Officer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Contract Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of contracts related to property maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Senior Surveyors to provide contract management advice and contractor performance updates.
- Analyse and become familiar with current contractor JCT contracts and advise on the correct processes and procedures.
- Support the operations team with contract administration, including attending contract pre-commencement and progress meetings as required.
- Prepare and send enquiries to contractors, inviting them to quote, and analyse quotes to make recommendations.
- Cooperate with colleagues to consistently deliver projects on time and within agreed budgets.
What We're Looking For
You will need to have experience of the different forms of building contract and be able to advise on what contracts they would choose for particular projects. The main purpose of the role is to advise/assist with procuring new contractors, preparing contract documents, and advising on contract administration.
