Job Summary:

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Medical Consultant Specialist to lead a team of junior doctors and multi-disciplinary staff in providing comprehensive medical care for inpatients, clinic patients, and emergency admissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of junior doctors and multi-disciplinary staff in providing medical care for inpatients, clinic patients, and emergency admissions.
  • Develop and implement clinical and quality targets agreed with clinical teams and commissioners.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Provide education and learning opportunities for trainees.
  • Support flexible working patterns and negotiate on-call commitments and weekend ward rotas.

Requirements:

  • CCT in General Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine or within 6 months of completion.
  • Excellent team-working skills and ability to lead service developments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
