About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reablement Officer to join our team at BlueGreen Recruit Ltd. As a Reablement Officer, you will play a vital role in providing reablement support to service users in their own homes, ensuring that staff are meeting Essential Standards of Quality and Safety and working in accordance with directorate policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Community Support Workers/Reablement Workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor working practices and quality assurance systems, ensuring that staff are working in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assist in the provision of training, ensuring that staff are inducted effectively and have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
- Liaise with the Call Centre and assist in daily and weekly programming changes for Community Support Workers/Reablement Workers as required.
- Conduct risk assessments and establish service users' needs in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain records of equipment, monitoring its allocation and ensuring adequate stocks for future use.
- Be accessible for advice and guidance to Community Support Workers/Reablement Workers and provide them with feedback as appropriate.
- Undertake formal supervision management and performance development review of staff as required.
- Monitor ongoing progress of reablement processes and provide support and guidance to Community Support Workers/Reablement Workers.
- Liaise with commissioning staff as necessary regarding agreed assessed needs, goals, and outcomes to be achieved by the service user.
Person Specification
Essential
- 4 GCSE Level C qualifications or equivalent.
- Diploma in Health & Social Care level 2 or equivalent.
- Principles of Community Care.
- Good knowledge of Care Planning process and Essential Standards of Quality and Safety.
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety issues.
- Good knowledge of risk assessment processes.
- Working as a care provider.
- Previous supervisory/management experience in a similar or related setting.
- Working as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently using own initiative.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Supervision skills.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- IT skills.
- Ability to fulfil the travel requirements of the post.
- Commitment to providing a high-quality service.
Desirable
- NVQ Supervisory Level 3 or equivalent.
- Diploma in Health & Social Care level 3 or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Community Care Act.
- Experience of recruitment and selection.
- Implementation of quality assurance techniques.
- Dealing with attendance management issues.
- Ability to chair meetings.
- Ability to produce reports.
