Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support for our application portfolio, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for the application portfolio, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor application systems, identifying performance trends and taking proactive measures to prevent problems from arising.
  • Own application/system documentation and the data repository that holds that information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide technical support to the application architect and project services as required, ensuring seamless project deliverables.
  • Provide test support for new and enhanced systems/applications, ensuring thorough testing and validation.
  • Own Configuration Management process, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for scheduled maintenance and capacity planning, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the data warehouse, providing accurate and timely data insights.
  • Run reports and conduct analysis in-line with Business/Management requirements, providing actionable insights.
  • Responsible for the provision of performance information, ensuring timely and accurate reports are provided to stakeholders.
  • Work with the Application Architect and Project Services to ensure that data/information analysis and reporting is considered in the development of new and enhanced systems design, ensuring seamless integration and data consistency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in 2nd/3rd line support role, with a strong understanding of ITIL processes.
  • Experience of working with IT service management tools and technologies.
  • Experience managing assets, both hardware and software, with a strong understanding of configuration management.
