Forward Role is seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Ecommerce to lead and drive the digital strategy of a well-established online retail business based in the heart of Yorkshire.

The Role:

As the Head of Ecommerce, you will take ownership of the entire digital sales platform, ensuring a seamless and engaging online shopping experience. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and executing the ecommerce strategy to drive online sales growth, improve conversion rates, and maximise profitability.
  2. Managing all aspects of the online customer journey, ensuring an optimised and engaging experience.
  3. Leading the ecommerce team, including digital marketing, UX/UI design, and web development functions.
  4. Overseeing and improving the performance of the website, ensuring it is user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and optimised for SEO.
  5. Collaborating with the product and marketing teams to ensure alignment on promotions, product launches, and content updates.
  6. Analysing sales data, customer behaviour, and website performance to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  7. Identifying new ecommerce trends, opportunities, and technologies to stay ahead of the competition.
  8. Managing relationships with third-party vendors and partners, including payment gateways, logistics providers, and digital agencies.
  9. Setting and managing ecommerce budgets, ensuring effective cost control and ROI.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Proven experience in a senior ecommerce role, ideally within the retail sector.
  2. A deep understanding of ecommerce platforms, digital marketing, SEO, and UX/UI principles.
  3. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  4. Experience with ecommerce software and tools (e.g.,).
  5. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  6. A customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding online shopping experiences.
