About the Role
The Nigel Wright Group is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Lead to join their team in the Food Industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Team Leader to take on a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment is set up and ready for production, with a focus on maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive delivery and cost savings.
- Develop and implement consistent reporting procedures for all maintenance activities, including breakdown repairs.
- Target the completion of 100% of Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks, using proactive planning to minimize downtime.
- Ensure a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as food hygiene guidelines.
- Collaborate with the production team to implement initiatives that reduce waste and improve overall efficiency.
- Provide engineering support for PLCs, HMI Scada controlled systems, and other production equipment.
- Work closely with Shift Managers and Product Leads to ensure alignment with production plans and address any issues that arise.
Requirements
- Completed Apprenticeship with a NVQ L3 or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all stakeholders on site.
- Desirable: experience in the FMCG industry.
