About the Role
Caval Limited is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee nationwide civils projects ranging from £500k to £15m in value. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and budget-compliant completion of projects, while meeting specific quality standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project progress.
- Update and maintain progress reports to track project milestones and achievements.
- Execute and uphold company protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of construction activities on site, including the management of subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers.
- Identify and resolve project-related issues efficiently to minimize delays and costs.
- Oversee the upkeep of site facilities and equipment to ensure optimal working conditions.
- Manage and provide support and guidance to the groundworks team to ensure project success.
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring efficient progress and adherence to project schedules.
- Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure tasks are accomplished according to schedule and within financial plan, while maintaining precise documentation of site operations.
- Carry out consistent inspections to verify quality standards are significantly met, adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
- Manage project budgets and expenses, including procurement of materials and equipment, to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor work quality and ensure that construction activities meet specified standards and client expectations.
- Stay in regular contact with your team, engaging in ongoing discussions about project updates and handling any issues that may arise.

Requirements
- 5 years + experience as a Site Manager in the Civil Engineering sector.
- CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications.
- Strong leadership skills, effective time management abilities, and capacity to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledgeable of health and safety regulations and protocols, with demonstrated capability in establishing and maintaining relationships.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
