About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our team at Talk Straight Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing credit control, ensuring timely payment from our customers, and maintaining the financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment and resolve any payment queries in a timely manner.
  • Sales Ledger Management: Oversee the sales ledger for our 2500+ customers, monitoring payment progress and addressing outstanding invoices.
  • Query Resolution: Respond to customer payment queries and reconcile remittances to received payments in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Interdepartmental Liaison: Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer queries and ensure seamless communication.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile daily bank receipts to corresponding invoices in our accounting system.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of customer contact and communications within our accounting system.
Monthly Tasks
  • Direct Debit Management: Administer all direct debit payments for Talk Straight Ltd, ensuring timely payment receipt and reconciliation at the end of each month.
  • Aged Debtor Reporting: Monitor aged debtor reports to minimize overdue invoices and chase payments as necessary.
  • Cash Collection Forecasting: Prepare and present a monthly cash collection forecast to inform business decisions.
  • Supplier Invoice Reconciliation: Assist with the reconciliation of supplier invoices against original orders and chase credit notes from suppliers in cases of discrepancies.
