Job Title: Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for providing development expertise and support to our Polymer and Electrochemistry Research Scientists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects focused on improving our energy storage technology
  • Lead validation of new technology, including scale-up and implementation into new prototypes
  • Develop creative solutions to improve a prototype's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Generate new prototype concepts and carry out experiments to support their development
  • Act as an interface between the Research and Prototype Development teams
Requirements:
  • PhD in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Demonstrable hands-on engineering skillset, with an understanding of chemical systems and manufacturing processes
  • Process Development and optimization experience, within pilot-line manufacturing
  • Experience scaling up technology and increasing Technology Readiness Level (TRL)
  • Project Management experience
  • Start-up mentality
  • Experience with batteries, supercapacitors, or similar is preferred
  • Ability to work on-site
