Job Title: Childcare Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solicitor to join our team at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Childcare and Family Law, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality legal advice and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality legal advice and services to Directorates and Corporate Services
  • Draft documents and legal agreements to ensure policy is formulated and operational decisions are taken on a sound legal basis
  • Carry a caseload of legal work, largely unsupervised, within the Childcare and Family Law teams, holding responsibility for completing all aspects of the task in accordance with good legal practice and client service specification
  • Undertake legal research and prepare appropriate advice on the results of such research, including advising the council on risk and mitigations
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor/CILEX Lawyer
  • Experience within local government is desirable
  • Experience within Childcare and Family Law is essential
Benefits:
  • Up to 32 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)

Working Hours:
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
