About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Homeless Link. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with complex needs and backgrounds. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing psychological assessments, support, and supervision to help our residents reintegrate into society.

The successful candidate will have a post-graduate doctoral level training in Applied Psychology and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will have previous experience working as a qualified forensic psychologist, including working with individuals with complex backgrounds and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and guidance to the wider team on criminology, psychology, and behavioural patterns.
  • Conduct highly specialised psychological assessments for residents with complex conditions.
  • Exercise full clinical responsibility for resident psychological care as a care coordinator within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Formulate and implement plans for various therapy routes and management of assessing mental health conditions.
  • Discuss and negotiate care plans with internal and external parties.
  • Undertake highly skilled evaluations and make decisions about treatment options.
  • Facilitate one-to-one and group workshops and interventions.
Requirements
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in Applied Psychology.
  • HCPC registration as an applied Psychologist with chartered status.
  • Previous experience working as a qualified forensic psychologist.
  • Ability to use, learn, and adapt to IT at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to teach, train, consult, and deliver clinical supervision.
  • Understanding of criminology, psychology, and behavioural patterns.
  • Ability to understand and apply safeguarding protocols.
