Director of Reward, Benefits & Recognition

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to shape the future of reward and recognition in higher education at The University of Manchester.

As one of the UK's largest single-site higher education institutions, with 13,000 colleagues and 46,000 students from 170 countries, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our staff and students.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing reward strategies, benefits offerings, and remuneration decisions to attract and retain world-class talent. They will also oversee pensions, ensure pay equality, and champion a high-performance culture.

This is an exciting time to join the University of Manchester, as we embark on our ambitious new strategy, Manchester 2035. We are seeking to recruit 4 new Directors within the People team, including a Director of Reward, Benefits & Recognition, to strengthen the leadership function and help deliver our strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading a Reward, Benefits and Recognition team and a proven track record of innovation and success in this field. They will be a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and a passionate advocate for the importance of reward and recognition in driving business success.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sectors of the community. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, who are currently under-represented at this level at the University.

We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and offer a range of benefits and support to help our staff thrive. If you are a dynamic and strategic leader with a passion for reward and recognition, we would love to hear from you.
