About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Broker Support Specialist to join our team at GRe. As a key member of our EMEA team, you will provide critical support to our producers, brokers, and technical support colleagues in serving our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile and send information to global offices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assess market security information on carriers, checking compliance and financial positions.
  • Build and update marketing sheets for our broking team.
  • Produce data, statistics, and information packs in support of client reinsurance programs.
  • Liaise with our Compliance/Sanctions team on sanctions checks.
  • Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Work with our Sales team to ensure effective delivery of client service.
  • Support the creation of slips/endorsements and ensure contract records are accurately maintained.
  • Generate and issue evidence of cover, debit notes, and closing instructions.
  • Review and interrogate reinsurance contracts to facilitate billing within agreed timescales.
  • Regular contact with colleagues on technical support/contracts.
  • Manage and resolve queries from clients and reinsurers.
  • Ensure compliance with Gallagher policies and GEM throughout the placement process.
  • Produce contractual documentation to a high level and within timescales.
  • Maintain files in an orderly manner electronically, ensuring they are within GEM guidelines.
Requirements
  • Educated to A-level standard.
  • Working towards the ACII qualification or ACII qualified (desirable).
  • Relevant insurance experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize workloads with good time management skills.
  • Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office suite).
  • Experience of use and management of broking systems (desirable).
  • Experience in supporting client service through process adherence.
  • Experience in delivering applicable compliance standards with client service teams.
  • Knowledge of global reinsurance markets.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
