We are seeking a skilled Risk Management Broker to join our team at WTW. The successful candidate will work across Property and Casualty (Re)Insurance lines, supporting an existing team that handles a portfolio of material-sized placements.
The ideal candidate will be involved in business planning and will work with the existing team to shape an overall Global Strategy for the group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that has made impressive strides in a short period of time and has a significant runway for growth and development.
The remit is broad and will span across both Insurance and Reinsurance Lines of Business, covering Large and Complex single risk, Facilities, and Reinsurance (Proportional and Non-Proportional).
The Role
- Ability to understand a client's or prospect's business, situations, opportunities, problems, and key issues.
- Ability to manage relationships and negotiate placements with the (re)insurance market as part of a team.
- Prepare client and prospect presentations considering the impact of client profitability.
- Help arrange and participate in marketing meetings, client roadshows, virtual meetings, etc.
- Help prepare and check market presentations and client documentation as appropriate.
- Assist the team with ongoing development, maintenance, and coordination around pipeline prospects – accurately maintaining WTW CRM & RAFT systems to assist with Business Planning and Forecasting.
- Assist with the loading of data into the relevant WTW Systems.
- Work with Client Relationship Directors, Account Executives, Brokers, Sales, Marketing, and the Structured Risk team to determine appropriate solutions and structure and price placements.
- Identify appropriate markets and assist the team with determining placing strategy.
- Create and grow relationships with underwriters in London and international re(insurance) markets.
- Participate in information gathering exercises and ad-hoc market analysis.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with WTW guidelines and procedures.
- Understand, apply, and where necessary explain WTW policies and procedures.
- Ensure good relationships and communication with other WTW colleagues.
- A thorough understanding and expert real-time user of all relevant systems.
