NHS Highland presents an exceptional opportunity for two Planning Coordinators to become integral members of the Health Board's Strategy and Transformation Department.

The Health Board is committed to enhancing its project management capabilities to facilitate the realization of improvement initiatives as part of the implementation of its comprehensive 5-year strategy.

This role will be demanding, particularly in the current financial landscape of the NHS, where there is a pressing need to deliver services while systematically evolving to enhance care quality, improve efficiency, and redesign service pathways to better serve the community.

Successful candidates will have the chance to collaborate across NHS Highland, engaging with Community, Acute, and Corporate services. They will support the execution of portfolio programs encompassing a diverse range of projects aimed at benefiting both our communities and staff.

Applicants should possess demonstrable experience in:

  • Operating within a project management framework, especially in a healthcare context.
  • Exhibiting strong organizational skills and attention to detail while maintaining the ability to work efficiently under project timelines.
  • Gathering and analyzing data to inform solutions and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assisting project teams and collaborating with a wide array of stakeholders from various sectors of the organization.
  • Familiarity with the Scottish Approach to service design, also known as the Double Diamond methodology, is advantageous.
