Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.

About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking design team. The role involves working closely with Software Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and Technicians to deliver a range of projects, from simple fixtures to fully automated measurement systems. You will be involved in every stage of the design process, from initial concept through to testing and delivery, ensuring that solutions meet customer requirements and industry standards.

  1. Design of Gauges, Fixtures, and Systems: Tailor solutions to customer needs, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  2. Collaboration and Project Delivery: Work with multidisciplinary teams to take projects from concept to completion, ensuring seamless execution.
  3. Customer Requirements and Design Solutions: Interpret customer needs and translate them into innovative design solutions that meet industry standards.
  4. Critical Design Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of designs within the team to ensure robustness and quality.
  5. 3D Modeling and Design Development: Develop 3D models of concepts and detailed designs suitable for manufacturing, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  6. Technical Support: Provide support to technicians during the assembly and testing phases, ensuring smooth project execution.
  7. Professional Development: Maintain a strong understanding of mechanical principles and design techniques, staying up-to-date with industry advancements.

Key Requirements:

  1. Education and Qualifications: Hold a HND/Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Technical Skills: Proven experience with 3D CAD software.
  3. Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop solutions for complex engineering challenges, with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
