Position Summary
We are on the lookout for Funding Managers to become integral members of our Genetics and Molecular Sciences division within Research Funding. In this role, you will oversee the management, assessment, and allocation of grant applications with efficiency and precision. You will act as a vital resource for our research community, offering guidance and support throughout the grant process. This position provides a unique opportunity to engage with innovative research proposals from esteemed academics, contributing to the advancement of exceptional scientific breakthroughs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assess and process grant applications related to Discovery Research initiatives
- Provide expert advice and support to grant recipients
- Manage a diverse portfolio of grants from application through to award
- Facilitate the expert review process
- Collaborate with grant recipients and research institutions to ensure effective grant management
- Advocate for diversity and inclusivity within the organization
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in a relevant biomedical discipline
- Proven experience in academic research
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships
